A few weeks ago, I published a post on what to wear to a maternity session. Today I bring you some suggestions on what you and your baby should wear for the photo session after he is born.
Concerning your baby, the most important thing is that he’s comfortable. Clothes that are easy to undress may come in handy for a quick change of diapers. In case you want some images of your baby without clothes we will do them in those moments before putting on a new diaper. I also always advise the parents to have a blanket near by, because there’s nothing like the coziness of a comfortable blanket involving the baby.
If you some special things like an outfit that was an aunt’s present or a handmade blanket from the grandmother, those are special elements that we can include in the session and that will give some extra meaning to the final images. The grandmother and even the baby himself will love to have and look at those images in a few years.
Regarding the parents and eventual siblings, and since this session takes place at your home, you can wear something comfortable and more laid back, but that makes you feel good and beautiful (or handsome). You can even be barefoot if that will make you feel more relaxed and that feeling will be reflected in the images.
You can (and should) coordinate your colors by picking one or two and mixing some neutral colors as well, just like I mentioned here.
