Sun, heat, kids, dog, and lots of family fun – in other words, a great day! This is how this day was.
I have been photographing these kids since they were born and this time I got to spend a whole day with them photographing these moments of a summer day.
The day started very early, with lots of playing inside and outside. With the heat getting tougher, Diogo and Gil got ready to fill their pool to cool off. And at the end of the morning there was still time for a walk in the park before lunch.
Back home and after the nap, an afternoon of lots of playing and swimming awaited us, right until the sun went down. And the cutest dog, Roma, always right there next to them.
The end of the day came and with it dinner and bedtime, always with much bustle.
This was a documentary session that lasted the whole day. It was about 14 hours in which I accompanied and photographed these kids and their parents from the moment the kids got up until bedtime.
In these sessions I photograph the routines of your everyday life. I photograph the fun moments as well as the crying moments, the bickering and the affection.
It is family photography without poses and without directions.
