On this summer day I traveled to Lisbon to photograph a day in the life of this always cheerful family.

When I arrived at their home, the children had just woken up and were soon downstairs for their “café da manhã”. Tatiana and Felipe are Brazilians who chose Portugal to live and raise their family. I photographed them for the first time when Eduardo was still in his mom’s belly and now he is already the big brother.

After the bustle of the morning, we went for a walk in a nearby park. With the kids a little tired, we also stopped by the market to pick up some fish for lunch.

The afternoon was filled with lots of games and a little movie on the couch at the end of the day. After dinner it was time for bed, and the children were terribly tired.

This was a documentary session that lasted the whole day. It was about 14 hours in which I accompanied and photographed these kids and their parents from the moment the kids got up until bedtime.

In these sessions I photograph the routines of your everyday life. I photograph the fun moments as well as the crying moments, the bickering and the affection.

It is family photography without poses and without directions.
