So… I’m Ana.

And yep, that’s me on the beach a long time ago, during my first Summer vacation.

Talking about old photographs, one of the most special things that I own today are my old photo albums, that were put together by my mom. I love to look at them and remember about the house we used to live in, the fun Summer vacations with whole family, Christmas time and what my life was like back then.

And this is exactly what I want to do with photography. I want to give the kids I photograph today, that very same feeling when they grow up. I want them to look back at these photographs in a few years, and remember how they lived, felt and specially how happy they were as kids.

I did not always want to be a photographer.

I am and have always been a science girl. I graduated in Physics Engineering and for a long time I believed that my professional future would be about astronomy, physics or some other technology related area. How wrong was I? I ended up finding photography and discovered that I loved to photograph kids and families so much, that eventually I let go of physics and haven’t turned back yet.

I share my life with Miguel, who hates to be photographed. Oh the irony… poor guy. Together we are very lucky to live with Roma, the cutest dog ever, that we adopted from the first family I ever photographed.

Hmmm, what else about me?

Sports has always been a major part of my life. I used to be a competitive swimmer for a long time (not a very good one though) and today I still swim for fun and compete as a master swimmer. I’m also addicted to crossfit, I love it. Talk to me about WOD’s, AMRAP’s, PR’s and we can chat for hours.

I love to eat, way more than I should, and I hate to cook.

I’m a reader and I love to see a shelf filled with books.

To get out, travel and go trekking are some of my favourite things.

But there is nothing like an afternoon with nothing to do or think, in the best company watching episode after episode of the tv show of the moment.
